Leather / Vegan Leather animal works & heritage work
Whether you are looking for a heritage pouch in a Viking, Saxon or later style, an item for your SteamPunk cosplay or a beautiful natural hanging - Bev would love to help your design ideas come to life! Prices vary depending on the commission and complexity, but a pouch can start from as little as £20.
Bev also loves working with old leather items - making bags and book covers from much-loved jackets and skirts that are no longer wearable.
Gift shop Gallery
Commissions vary according to the size, hours required to complete and the materials chosen. We also turn some works into giftware or prints which are available online or at craft fairs and events, along with some items made by an arts collective network from Nepal. Works shown here include acrylic, embroidery and collage.
Mixed media :We create large works for hotels, waiting rooms and private individuals. They are talking points.
Illustrations: We create small surface design illustrations, card designs and book illustrations.
For children: We create woodland and magical mixed media work in responses to a 1 hour mindful art session

Mixed Media Fairies
Bev still loves the work of Elsa Beskow, Tony Wolf, Sibylle Von Olfers and of course the wonderful Cicely Mary Barker. In homage to these greats she creates her own magical 'children' animals and 'fairies' in mixed media. A Canvas will have elements of fabric, decoupage and stichwork alongside acrylic and watercolour. Any holes made by stitching are sealed individually on the reverse, and the whole piece is varnished. Feminine Feminist is a commission for an adult who wanted a whimsical fairy but as a conversation piece, so included in the background are victorian adverts for electric corsetry and the fairy is emerging from a place of darkness to reclaim her identity. Blue Fairy is a peice for a child and represents mixed heritage in the zimbabwe fire lily and the Welsh daffodil. Blue Fairy recently came 7th in a national competition for mixed media art. A large canvas such as this takes several weeks from initial consultation, and costs between £200 and £300, smaller works (A4 /3) £60 - 100

1980s - a Childhood
Is a collection of whimsical delicate watercolours and heritage inks sized 6ins by 6ins. Each captures a moment in time such as the school field being finally opened, playing in the garden and waiting for the next wave. Originals are not for sale and are currently moving to an exhibition space (more details soon) Quality prints on textured gallery paper are £12 each, or a set of 3 for £30 - please email for the full exhibition brochure.
Small Worlds for Big Occasions!
Bespoke creations in wood, fabric and wool with lots of hidden meaning. Just £45 - £70 including initial consultation.
Example: Engagement in Paris on Christmas Eve. Made from dominoes to remind the bride to be of the games being played outside the cafe. Parisian cafe vibe (copied from a photo of the venue) and happy couple seen through the window.
Example: New Baby Ava. Created in Farrow and Ball heritage paints, Cath Kidston and Liberty fabrics. Envelope contains a message from her grandmother (the gifter) for her to open when she is 18. Bespoke poem on the reverse.
Just Looking - Charity work
Just Looking is a small work (in an A4 wood-effect frame) with simple inkjet A4 prints being sold for £1.50 in aid of The Tices Meadow Bird Group / Friends of Tices Meadow. The friends get all the funds from the £1.50 prints, and £2 from every other frog item sold. Mugs are £10, Small glass chopping board £18, Key rings £8, Pack of 5 coasters £10, Magnet £4.
Heritage Hangings
Felted and leatherwork hangings are available to purchase if in stock, but tend to go off the shelves very quickly! Email if you'd like to see some current samples. We can create any animal which is carefully hand-stitched and the actual threads from each stitching attached to the frame. The frame is then covered in fabric and/or leather with nordic braiding and / or metal work to hold it in place. Any animal is possible, but particularly popular are deer, hare, highland cows, Labradors. Different sizes are possible. This piece is in sustainably sourced deer leather and cotton, and has a diameter of 40cm. Final cost was £120.
Felt hangings are also made by hand and are available seasonally (Easter pictured) but can also be created bespoke. Prices from £30 to £120 depending on size and complexity of design.
Demonstration Originals
We create originals for courses, sip n paints and to demonstrate techniques. These are then available to buy at a great price for an original artwork (not a print!). Three currently available in watercolour and heritage inks.
